3rd poster prize at 9th Immunotherapy of Cancer Conference
Domitille Chalopin-Fillot attended the 9th Immunotherapy of Cancer Conference (ITOC) from September 22 to 24, 2022. This conference is a european meeting providing a global platform for translational research in the field of immuno-oncology as well as a forum for discussion of early clinical translation.
She presented her work on the analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data to unravel the diversity of innate immune cells in the HCC environment and identify potential new immunotherapeutic targets. TREM1+ CD163+ myeloid cells were characterized. It is a discrete population of MDSC with potent immunosuppressive activity, associated with higher HCC grade, poor patient survival and resistance to immune checkpoint blockade therapy. These cells produce high levels of TGFb, associate with fibrotic lesions and correlate with the presence of FAP+ fibroblast.
Domitille won the third prize poster, Bravo !
